Zoya Akhtar grounds the dream in real constraint — class, parents, money — so the breakthroughs land. Ranveer dials it down effectively, but Siddhant Chaturvedi's MC Sher and Alia's firecracker girlfriend nearly walk off with it. The beats slap.
