Sigma marks Jason Sanjay’s much-awaited entry into cinema, but unfortunately, the film struggles to live up to the expectations surrounding its debut.
The biggest issue with Sigma is its writing. The core idea has potential, but the screenplay fails to build enough momentum or emotional engagement. The narrative moves through its conflicts without creating the impact required to keep the audience invested.
Jason Sanjay shows flashes of promise, particularly in a few performance-driven moments, but the overall characterisation doesn’t give him enough scope to make a strong impression. His screen presence needs more refinement, while the film’s treatment often works against him.
The supporting cast does what is expected, but most characters feel underwritten. The technical aspects provide occasional relief, although they cannot completely compensate for the weak writing and inconsistent execution.
Jason Sanjay can shift him from directing films to acting in the films.
