Nelson trades his usual deadpan absurdism for something colder and more assured, and Rajinikanth meets him halfway with a performance built on stillness rather than swagger. The cameos land, Anirudh's score thumps, and the violence carries real weight. It sags in the middle, but the payoff earns its applause.
