A reticent MLA and his estranged son confront a charismatic strongman whose cruelty is dressed up as community service.
Director: Mari Selvaraj
Cast: Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil
Fahadh Faasil makes a genuinely frightening antagonist, all smiling entitlement, but the film belongs to Vadivelu's wounded dignity. Mari Selvaraj's politics are pointed without becoming a lecture. The pacing wobbles, the conviction never does.
